Project: Food Budget Wrap Up

This iteration of Project: Food Budget has come to a close, and I’ve learned a few things over the course of the last three months: -I can keep up with a weekly blog schedule! Who knew? -It is pretty awesome to have things you know you need monthly just show up on your doorstep. Amazon Subscribe and Save is my friend. -Running into the store “just for a…” at the last minute is never a good idea. Ever. -We could stand to plan more. In fact, we should plan more. Project: Food Budget 12

Weekly Budget $125 Actual $ Spent $264.47 Giant Eagle $90.27 Penn’s Corner Farm Alliance $38.84 Costco $135.36 So, um, yeah. Totally doing the budget learning thing backward. Project: Food Budget 11

Weekly Budget $125 Actual $ Spent $189.17 $51.08 Amazon $51.87 Marty’s Market $86.22 Giant Eagle So, I’m doing the opposite of what I think should happen with a project like this. I should’ve started out way out of whack with my budget and then progressively learned over the course of the weeks to reign things in. Instead, I was totally on my game the whole time until this last month where I’ve been over budget every week. The Amazon purchases are stocking up on things that awhile and the Marty’s purchase was special stuff to go see friends this weekend.  The real zinger […]

Project: Food Budget 10

Weekly Budget $125 Actual $ Spent $262.62 $86.70 Thrive Market $122.42 Costco $53.50 Penn’s Corner Farm Alliance The primary purpose of this trip to Costco so near to the last one was to buy more nuts to make fat bombs so we could take photos and post the fat bomb recipe before the end of July. Someone forgot the nuts. So, we’ll work on that and get that recipe posted soon. The big time splurges this week were at Thrive Market, re-upping our supply of MCT Oil, Epic Bars, and for the first time trying some collagen. Thankfully, all of […]
