I turned 33 the other day…

My 33rd birthday passed without much fanfare, just as I would prefer. I didn’t accomplish many of the things I set out in my 33 before 33 list of goals. But I’ve come to realize that while goals are good, there needs to be room for them to evolve and change. And an arbitrary schedule for goals may not be all that useful. What I’m Reading 2

As I mentioned in the first of this series, I read quite a bit. My reading materials vary from books, blogs, and other articles. I’m still reading the same book. I’ve had a slow couple of weeks with that one. I find it to be a fascinating topic, but I also find it harder to stay engaged with books that are non-narrative. I love a good story! What I’m Reading

There was a time in my life where I didn’t love to read. I struggled to keep up and actually had my teacher call my parents to say that I needed help. I remember sitting on the couch in my childhood home with my dad helping me to get through a book (chosen by my super-advanced-reader BFF at the time) that I was behind in for a group book report.
